MemoroMemoro help: quick fixes for common problems
Short answer
Most problems have a quick fix — find yours below. First make sure Memoro is up to date: Microsoft Store → Downloads → Get updates. If nothing here helps, click "Report a problem" at the bottom of the Memoro control panel and email us the report. Passwords, tokens, license keys and your user name are removed from it automatically.
The cloud setup doesn't start, or nothing happens
Since version 1.1.8 the cloud setup runs inside the control panel: a progress window appears and the Cloudflare sign-in page opens in your browser. If the browser page doesn't open by itself, click the link in the progress window. Sign in (or create a free Cloudflare account) and approve; the panel tells you when the bridge is ready.
On older versions the setup opened a separate black window, which on some PCs never appeared — especially when Windows Terminal is set as the default terminal. Update Memoro. If you can't update right now: open Windows Terminal → Settings → Startup → Default terminal application → "Windows Console Host" → Save, then try again.
An AI shows Memoro as connected, but there are no tools
The saved address is probably out of date. In the control panel, open "How to connect?" on that AI's card and copy your address again. Then remove Memoro from that AI's connectors and add it again with the new address.
The AI doesn't use my memory
Make sure you chose "Always allow" for Memoro's tools on that platform; without it, the AI may silently skip your memory. ChatGPT and Perplexity sometimes don't look by themselves — just say "check Memoro". For Claude, paste the instruction text from the control panel into Settings → "Instructions for Claude" once.
Claude Desktop doesn't show Memoro
Open Memoro once from the Start menu, then fully quit Claude Desktop and open it again. Memoro then appears under Claude Desktop → Settings → Developer. The first time Claude wants to use it, choose "Always allow".
The user guide doesn't open
Since version 1.1.8 the guide opens as a PDF in your browser, in your language (English, Turkish, Russian or German) — Word is not needed. Until you update, you can read the guides on this website.
Memoro shows old information
If you used the older Memoro from GitHub before the Microsoft Store version, both can start at the same time and the old one may answer first. Version 1.1.8 switches the old one off automatically and keeps your notes. You can also uninstall the old one under Settings → Apps.
My trial ended and Pro features stopped
The Claude Desktop connection stays free. For the other AIs, enter your license key in the "License" section at the top of the control panel. The key is in the email you received after buying Pro.
Quick checks first
- Is Memoro running? You should see the purple M icon next to the clock (click the ^ arrow if it's hidden). If not, open Memoro from the Start menu.
- Is Memoro up to date? Microsoft Store → Downloads → Get updates.
- Did you just install or update? Fully quit Claude Desktop (right-click its tray icon → Quit) and open it again.

FAQ
How do I send a problem report?
Click "Report a problem" at the bottom of the Memoro control panel. Copy or download the report, add a short note about what you did and what happened, and email it to the address shown there. Nothing is sent automatically.
Where are Memoro's log files?
In %USERPROFILE%\.memoro\masaustu. Press Windows + R, paste that path and press Enter. The "Report a problem" button already includes the important parts.
Does Memoro send my data anywhere when something goes wrong?
No. Memoro has no automatic error reporting. A report is only created when you click "Report a problem", and you decide whether to send it.
