How to connect Memoro to ChatGPT, claude.ai, Grok and Perplexity (Pro)
Short answer
Claude Desktop connects to Memoro by itself, for free. For claude.ai, ChatGPT, Grok and Perplexity, Memoro sets up a small bridge in your own free Cloudflare account and gives you a private connector address. You copy it once from the Memoro control panel and add it to each AI as a custom connector. All Pro features are free for the first 7 days.
Step by step
- Click the purple M in the Windows taskbar and choose "Open control panel".
- For the first 7 days Pro is already on. After that, paste your license key into the "License" section at the top of the panel.
- On the card of the AI you want to connect, click "How to connect?".
- First time only: click "Start cloud setup", sign in to your free Cloudflare account in the window that opens, and wait until the window closes by itself. Your Memoro address does not exist before this step — it is created now and appears in the same window.
- Copy your Memoro address: the long line that starts with https:// at the bottom of the window, with its "Copy" button. "Go to site ↗" opens the right page of that AI.
- In the AI, add a custom connector and paste the address. Start a new chat and ask "where were we?".
Notes for each AI
claude.ai: once Memoro is added here, Claude in Excel and the other Office apps can use it too. If the tools do not show up the first time, close and reopen Excel, start a new chat and allow access when asked.
ChatGPT and Perplexity: these platforms allow custom connectors only on their own paid plans. They also do not always check your memory by themselves — a short phrase such as "check my memory" is enough.
Perplexity: when adding the connector, open Advanced and change authentication from OAuth to "None" (or the key/token option); the key is already inside your address.
Grok: works only through the cloud bridge, because Grok cannot reach programs on your computer directly.
Keep your address private
The end of your connector address is a secret key. Anyone with the full address can reach your memory, so treat it like a password: do not post it, share it or show it in screenshots.
Example prompts
“Where were we on the kitchen renovation?”
“Save this decision to my memory: we go with supplier B.”
“What did we rule out last time, and why?”
“Update the project card: next step is the price comparison.”
FAQ
Where is my Memoro connector address?
It is created when you set up the cloud bridge, so you will not find it before that. In the Memoro control panel, click "How to connect?" on any AI's card. If you see "Start cloud setup", do that first; when it finishes, your address appears in the same window — the long line that starts with https://. Copy it with "Copy".
Does my computer have to be on?
No. When your PC is off, the AIs read the latest copy of your memory, and new notes are kept and added to your memory when the PC is back on.
Do I need to pay for Cloudflare?
No. A free Cloudflare account is enough; the bridge runs in your own account.
An AI says Memoro is connected but shows no tools. What now?
Its saved address is probably out of date. Copy your address again from the control panel ("How to connect?"), remove Memoro from that AI's connectors and add it again.
Is this the MIT Media Lab Memoro, or Mem0?
No. Memoro: Long-Term Memory for AI is a Windows desktop app by Sengul Software, distributed through the Microsoft Store (ID 9PBM9N3NDSDX). It gives Claude, ChatGPT, Grok and Perplexity one shared memory stored on your own PC. It is not related to the MIT Media Lab research project of the same name (a wearable memory assistant) or to Mem0 (a memory API for developers).
Give your AI a long-term memory
Your AI forgets. Memoro remembers — in every chat, across every AI.
